Creating Broadcast Text Alarms

A Broadcast alarm is one that alerts when the alarm trips or clears.

Unlike our usual alarms that follow a call order and re-notify after a grace period,

these alarms trip once and that is it. The nice thing about them is they are a bit less insistent about bothering a user.

To make an alarm into a broadcast only alarm that texts out the following conditions must be met...

1. No User in the call order for the alarm can have call outs enabled
2. At least 1 user must have texts.
3. That is it!

If you have met these conditions the alarm will text the users who have text enabled, and email the users with email enabled at trip and clear times.
