Swage is the lumberjack network manager. It is a web interface. You can access
it directly in your web browser by entering the ip address of the lumberjack
device (it is served via port 80).
Swage must have a valid network connection or it will not work (You would not
be able to access the swage web interface if it does not have a connection.)
If it is given an invalid network connection, it will fallback to the previous
connection setting after 10 minutes.
Configure LAN Wired Connection
The configuration method also you to either use an automatic (dynamic)
connection, manually set the IP network or ignore it. If you choose automatic
or ignore then you do not need to set any values in the form.
If you set it to manual, you need to fill in values for the IP address with
network mask (eg. 18.104.22.168/24), the gateway and two DNSs. Afterwards
click save. You must reload the page in within 10 minutes. If the new
connection is valid, then it will confirm it once you have reloaded the page,
if the new connection is invalid or you do not make another request to Swage
within 10 minutes, it will be reset to the previous connection.
Configure Wireless Connections / WAP
You have the option to connect the lumberjack to a wireless network and also
allow it to act as a hotspot.
To connect it to a wireless network, enter the id and a password that is at
least 8 characters long.
To create a WAP hotspot, enter a hostname and a password that is at least 8
You can connect a lumberjack to up to three VPNs. These VPNs are managed by
ZeroTier. You must have a ZeroTier network setup
prior to joining it and the lumberjack's IP address needs to be whitelisted in
